Big Brother 9: Week 6 Power of Veto, Recap
Now on its ninth week, Big Brother 9 is finally done with yet another Power of Veto ceremony, which featured, among other things, another theological debate between Matt and Ryan. It also had Sheila turning around after apologizing to Adam, then proceeding to throw him under the bus. This week's Power of Veto or (PoV) tournament saw James, Ryan, Sheila, Matt, Joshuah and Chelsia challenged with the task of moving 500 toy wooden blocks across a beam and into a tube, two at a time. Matt, Ryan, Sheila and Chelsia all went down, paving the way for James, already the Head of Household (HoH), to emerge victorious. Double winner James, who outlasted everyone in both the HoH and PoV competitions, was on a mission to uncover who the third person was that voted not to bring him back. He already knows Sheila and Ryan are the other two after they confessed to it. James gut tells him the third vote was Adam but Sharon manages to convince him it was Matt. Egged on by her theory, James proceeds to renege on his HoH deal with Natalie by using his newly-acquired PoV to remove Sheila from the block in lieu of Matt. James then justified his sudden turnaround saying he realized that when Natalie offered him the deal during the HoH comp, it sent him thinking that the two of them remain a threat together and thus required getting split. Incidentally, as mentioned earlier, Matt was once more involved in a theological discourse with Ryan, this time regarding the nature of the Ark of the Covenant. Happily, through the Indiana Jones heritage, the boys know it held the Ten Commandments and the words of the almighty. They are also of the knowledge that the Holy Grail is Christ's chalice. Highlight of their enlightened discussion was Adam's proposition for the two of them to embark on a quest for the Ark after they leave the Big Brother house. |
